In Higashihiroshima city, there is a scheme that subsidizes a part of medical expenses when children living in the city receive insurance treatment at a medical institution.
From October 2024, the name of the scheme will be changed to ‘the Medical Expenses Payment Scheme for Children’, eligibility for the payments will be expanded to children equivalent to third-year high school students, and income restrictions will be abolished.
Parents of children newly eligible for benefits under the scheme were notified in early June by post mail. The color of the envelope is light yellow.
If you have received the letter, immediatly fill in the application form and return it by using the return envelope. Deadline: Must arrive no later than June 28 (Fri.)
