【April 20th is the 50th anniversary of Higashihiroshima City.】【４月２０日は東広島市（ひがしひろしまし）の５０周年（しゅうねん）です】

On April 20, 1974, Saijo, Hachihonmatsu, Shiwa, and Takaya merged to form Higashihiroshima City. In 2005, Akitsu, Kurose, Kawachi, Fukutomi, and Toyosaka merged to form the current Higashihiroshima City.
On Saturday, April 20th, various events will be held at Kurara and Central Park to celebrate the 50th anniversary. There are also events on Sakagura Street. For more information, please see the flyer.

1974年4月20日、西条（さいじょう）八本松（はちほんまつ）志和（しわ）高屋（たかや）が一つになって、東広島市（ひがしひろしまし）が生（う）まれました。2005年、安芸津（あきつ）、黒瀬（くろせ）、河内（こうち）、福富（ふくとみ）、豊栄（とよさか）も加（くわ）わって、今（いま）の東広島市（ひがしひろしま）になりました。
